How to Get Pets in Sims 4
Pets are a great way to add some life and companionship to your Sims' homes. They can also be a lot of fun to play with and care for. If you're interested in adding some pets to your Sims 4 game, here's how to do it:
Choose a Pet
The first step is to choose a pet. You can choose from a variety of cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and small animals. Each type of pet has its own unique needs and personality, so be sure to choose one that you think your Sims will enjoy.
To see all of the available pets, open the Create-a-Pet menu. You can find it by clicking on the "Create a Sim" button in the main menu, then selecting the "Pets" tab.
Customize Your Pet
Once you've chosen a pet, you can start customizing it. You can choose its breed, color, size, and personality. You can also give it a name.
To customize your pet, click on the "Customize" button in the Create-a-Pet menu. You can then use the sliders and options to change your pet's appearance and personality.
Place Your Pet in Your Household
Once you're happy with your pet, you can place it in your household. To do this, click on the "Add to Household" button in the Create-a-Pet menu.
Your pet will now appear in your household. You can find it in the "Sims" panel on the left side of the screen.
Care for Your Pet
Once your pet is in your household, you need to start caring for it. This includes feeding it, playing with it, and cleaning up after it.
To feed your pet, click on the "Feed" button in the pet's Needs panel. You can also use the "Auto Feed" button to have your pet automatically feed itself.
To play with your pet, click on the "Play" button in the pet's Needs panel. You can choose from a variety of games and activities to play with your pet.
To clean up after your pet, click on the "Clean Up" button in the pet's Needs panel. Your pet will then automatically clean up any messes it has made.
Train Your Pet
You can also train your pet to do a variety of tricks. To do this, click on the "Train" button in the pet's Needs panel. You can then choose from a variety of tricks to teach your pet.
Once your pet has learned a trick, you can use the "Perform" button to have it perform the trick.
