How to Keep a Crawfish as a Pet

2. Filter: A filter is essential for keeping the aquarium water clean. Choose a filter that is rated for the size of your aquarium.

3. Substrate: The substrate is the material that you will use to cover the bottom of the aquarium. You can use gravel, sand, or a combination of the two. The substrate should be deep enough to allow the crawfish to burrow.

4. Decorations: Crawfish like to have places to hide and explore. You can use rocks, driftwood, and plants to decorate the aquarium.
