How to Use a Bissell Pet Carpet Cleaner

Preparing Your Carpet

1. Vacuum your carpet thoroughly to remove any loose dirt, dust, or pet hair.
2. Move any furniture or other objects off of the carpet.
3. Blot up any fresh stains with a clean, dry cloth.
4. If you have an older stain, you may need to pre-treat it with a stain remover. Follow the directions on the stain remover bottle.

Filling the Carpet Cleaner

1. Open the solution tank on the carpet cleaner.
2. Add the recommended amount of Bissell pet carpet cleaning solution to the tank.
3. Fill the water tank with hot water, up to the fill line.
4. Close the solution tank and the water tank.

Operating the Carpet Cleaner

1. Turn on the carpet cleaner and select the desired cleaning mode.
2. Slowly push the carpet cleaner over the carpet, overlapping each stroke by about half.
3. If you encounter a stubborn stain, you may need to go over it multiple times.
4. Rinse the carpet by filling the water tank with clean water and then running the carpet cleaner over the carpet again.

Drying the Carpet

1. Open the windows to air out the room.
2. Turn on the ceiling fan or a portable fan to help dry the carpet.
3. Do not walk on the carpet until it is completely dry.

Maintaining Your Carpet Cleaner

1. After each use, empty the solution tank and the water tank.
2. Rinse the tanks with clean water and allow them to dry completely.
3. Store the carpet cleaner in a cool, dry place.
