Does Silver Airways Allow Pets?

In-Cabin Pet Policy

Unfortunately, Silver Airways does not allow pets in the cabin, with the exception of service animals.

Checked Pet Policy

Silver Airways does allow pets to travel in the cargo hold on select flights, subject to certain restrictions and fees.

Restrictions:

  • Only dogs and cats are allowed as checked pets.
  • Pets must be at least 8 weeks old.
  • Pets must be healthy and have a clean bill of health from a veterinarian within 10 days of travel.
  • Pets must be properly vaccinated.
  • Pets must be crated.

Fees:

  • The fee for transporting a pet in the cargo hold is $75 each way.
  • There is a maximum of two pets per crate.
  • Pets weighing over 100 pounds will be subject to additional fees.

Procedures:

  • To transport your pet as checked baggage, you must make a reservation in advance.
  • You must arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight to check in your pet.
  • Your pet must be in a hard-sided crate that is large enough for your pet to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably.
  • The crate must be properly ventilated and have a secure door.

  • Only dogs and cats are allowed as emotional support animals.
  • Emotional support animals must be at least 8 weeks old.
  • Emotional support animals must be healthy and have a clean bill of health from a veterinarian within 10 days of travel.
  • Emotional support animals must be properly vaccinated.
  • Emotional support animals must be well-behaved and not pose a threat to other passengers or crew members.

Fees:

  • There is no fee for transporting an emotional support animal.

Procedures:

  • To transport your emotional support animal in the cabin, you must provide Silver Airways with a letter from your healthcare provider stating that you have a disability and that your emotional support animal is necessary to assist you with your disability.
  • You must also provide proof of your emotional support animal's training and socialization.
  • Your emotional support animal must be on a leash or in a carrier at all times while in the airport and on the aircraft.
