Pets can be a great addition to your Grounded experience, but there may come a time when you need to get rid of them. Whether you're struggling to feed them, don't have enough space for them, or simply don't want them anymore, there are a few ways to do so.

How to Get Rid of Pets in Grounded

Releasing Them into the Wild

The most humane way to get rid of a pet in Grounded is to release it back into the wild. To do this, simply walk up to your pet and press the "Release" button. This will free your pet and allow it to return to its natural habitat.

Killing Them

If you don't want to release your pet into the wild, you can also kill it. However, this is a much more violent and traumatic way to get rid of a pet, and it is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.

To kill your pet, you can use any weapon or tool that you would normally use to defend yourself. Simply attack your pet until it dies.

Banishing Them

If you don't want to kill your pet, but you also don't want to keep it around, you can banish it. To do this, you will need to build a banishing totem. Once you have built the totem, simply place it near your pet and activate it.

The banishing totem will teleport your pet to a random location in the game world. This is a good way to get rid of a pet without having to kill it or release it into the wild.

Selling Them

If you don't want to keep your pet, but you don't want to kill it or banish it, you can also sell it. To do this, you will need to find a pet vendor. Pet vendors can be found in most major towns and cities.

Once you have found a pet vendor, simply talk to them and select the "Sell Pet" option. You will then be able to select the pet that you want to sell. The pet vendor will give you a certain amount of money for your pet, depending on its type and level.
