Pets are a big part of World of Warcraft, but there might come a time when you want to get rid of them. Maybe you're tired of them constantly following you around, or maybe you want to free up some space in your stables. Whatever the reason, there are a few different ways to get rid of pets in WoW.

How to Get Rid of Pets in WoW

Releasing Your Pets

The most common way to get rid of a pet is to release it. This is a permanent action, so make sure you're absolutely sure you want to do it before you proceed.

To release your pet, simply right-click on it and select "Release". You'll be given a confirmation message, and if you click "OK", your pet will be gone for good.

Abandoning Your Pets

If you're not sure if you want to release your pet permanently, you can abandon it instead. This will cause the pet to disappear, but it will still be stored in your collection. You can reclaim any abandoned pets at any time by talking to the pet trainer in your faction's capital city.

To abandon your pet, open your Pet Journal and click on the "Abandon" button. You'll be given a confirmation message, and if you click "OK", your pet will be abandoned.

Selling Your Pets

If you're looking to get rid of a pet that you've invested a lot of time and resources into, you can try selling it to another player. This is a great way to make some gold and free up some space in your stables at the same time.

To sell your pet, simply post it on the Auction House. Be sure to set a fair price, and include a detailed description of the pet's stats and abilities.

Destroying Your Pets

If you're feeling particularly ruthless, you can also destroy your pets. This is a permanent action, so make sure you're absolutely sure you want to do it before you proceed.

To destroy your pet, simply drag it from your Pet Journal to the "Destroy" button. You'll be given a confirmation message, and if you click "OK", your pet will be destroyed.
